If you don’t have flow it’s always better to be somewhere that sells it’s own tickets if you can afford the paycut. Hopefully you get a call to the legacy from the LCC before you get trapped by seniority and money. Don’t ask me how I know.

I'm more curious why this question is even asked in the first place? What's a reason to stay at a regional besides having a flow through or to get TPIC time if you're close to upgrading? There are lots of 10+ year people still waiting for that call they thought they would get 8 years ago. It's not hard to make a quarter million income after a few years at most of the LCC's these days vs topping out at 100k at a regional. The LCC also offers better job security.

Well I’m considering spirit for the base, and pay increase.
I know LCCs are better than regionals, I’m just wondering how it looks on the resume to bounce from airline to airline vs showing commitment to one airline and gaining seniority even if it’s a regional.

Career progression isn't the same as "bouncing from airline to airline". No interviewer could ever ask you with a straight face why you left a regional to go fly an Airbus. If it works for your lifestyle, quit wasting your time and go to Spirit. Keep your apps updated and with any luck, your dream job will come knocking.

If you’re a CA, have 1000 TPIC, and CKA isn’t in the near future, and you have the other requirements for the majors, I’d consider leaving. But FO to FO? I’d stay and upgrade.
Avg civilian new hire TT is in the 5500-7500 range.

There are of course family and lifestyle considerations, that's why I stayed when I could have left.
TPIC is a commodity. CKA is great if you know its in the cards.
But if the regionals start failing operationally due to pilot shortage, the legacies will slow or stop hiring their own feed pilots. They would then logically hire their competitors pilots instead. If you're at an LCC you then have choices, rather than being chained to regional oar.

I left a regional for corporate, left corporate for an LCC, and finally made it to a legacy. All of those jobs were a help, not a hindrance, to my resume.
