They can't. But airlines apparently get access when they process your SIDA. So they might see something which would not be readily available to other employers.

Also they can just pay a company to do it.
You can google search and just pay or get a Private Investigator.

The good paying airlines turn away most applicants with spotless records. You would have to be precious to someone very important for them to overlook an unusually troubled past. If nothing else you could be a mechanic, even with multiple felonies so long as they didnt involve smuggling drugs.

Not always that easy. Arrests are usually not maintained in online-accessible databases. Convictions typically are if you know which jurisdiction to search, or use a pay service (commonly online accessible, but in some places you may have to visit the courthouse). Some jurisdictions may publish arrests for minor crimes in the local media.

An private investigator would have to know where to look. Criminal investigation records are typically privileged information, up until it goes to trial. No trial, they will not usually release that sort of info.

The infractions listed seems like they can be overcome. Yes it may take some doing, and years with a clean record.

The big problem that you are going to have is that some countries will not permit you to enter. Canada, parts of Europe, the Middle East, and a few Asian countries will deny your entrance based on your record. With that said, that will be a major stumbling block to be hired by the airlines, Regionals included, because they fly to Canada.

This. Keep your nose clean going forward and make yourself a model citizen. Seek a mentor if necessary. Ignore the high & mighty's here that have apparently never done anything wrong.

The “high and mighties” are that because they made good decisions when faced with potentially compromising temptations/situations. The TEB LJ accident shows poor decision making and run-ins with the law are indicators of potential future problems.

Nobody is without fault.
It is however a very ‘conservative’ industry that frowns on indiscretions.

We've all made good and bad decisions, to say otherwise if a farce. Some of us either learned early not to repeat such things or simply didn't get caught then hopefully learned later.

2 out of 4 of the OPs issues are non-issues. Zero. Zip. The alcohol charge is explainable but the burglary charge does add another layer no doubt. I had a friend who had a misdemeanor charge years back that got hired at a regional but couldn't go to Canada at least at first. Lost track of him since but it's not impossible to at least make it to the regional level.

4 years later and nothing since for the OP, sounds like learning & maturity has occurred to me. OP if you want to pursue this career find a mentor, talk to recruiters and even chat with some of the professional career counseling services. Most of all keep your nose clean of course and work your butt off to be an exemplary candidate.
