USERRA and flying for a foreign airline
Slightly off topic.. I’m in the Air Force Reserve and just received an interview invite from Cathay Pacific. Are they required by law to give me time off to drill/train with my squadron as a US company would be?

I’d head over to Pprune and ask your question in the fragrant harbour section. Put a flak jacket on, it probably won’t be pretty.

Second, you will NOT be based in the US. You will be based in HK, with a HK employer. Good luck getting them to let with jets that aren’t theirs.

You might want to hang around PPrune awhile and get an earful.

If you are based and employed in the US, then US laws apply.
I know a guy in the reserves who flies for CX (US based).
