Default AirlineApps Questions

Currently going through my application with a fine tooth comb and wanted to get some insight on a few things. I might be overthinking some of these things but I’d rather be more safe than sorry.

1. I technically live out of a “crash pad” (my own room though), but list my parents address as a permanent address. Do I need to be that specific on my current address and include places I technically don’t list as a legal address?
2. Regarding employment history, I worked for a family member one summer at his business. I did fill out legal documents for taxes though so does this mean I should put it on AirlineApps?
3. I was part of the Airman Trainee Program with Air Wisconsin when I was in College and Flight Instructing however I separated from the program when I went to another company. Is this something I should list as employment history?
4. Lastly I know that there used to be strict stipulations on listing PIC time. I understand that you aren’t suppose to list PIC time that you logged as an instructor but I can’t find anything saying that you can’t list PIC time logged while receiving instruction anymore. Is this correct?

Excellent questions, but I can't answer any of them! I would highly recommend paying a company to go over your airlineapps and pilotcredential apps. It's well worth the money and I don't think you can successfully complete these apps unless you pay someone.

I thought I had an extremely good app, until I talked to someone, then realized I wasn't even close. You can either pay the money today, or save your money and pay the money down the road.

I'm sure people get their apps pulled without a consultation, but your future gains are worth the $300 today.

1. Where do you get mail? That’s your permanent address. Leave no gaps in your residence history without explanation.

2. Leave no gaps for the past 10 years of more than 30 days unless you leave an explanation. There is a separate box for that.

3. Leave no gaps

4. There is a help or more info section on the page you enter flight times on, it will tell you. I don’t remember the specifics.

I am not a professional. If you feel the need, is an app review service. I personally didn’t, but I know a lot do.

For #4, there should be a summary of flight times under Review Totals. If you did it right, the Total Time will be correct (maybe off by an hour due to rounding). If you list Instructor time as PIC time also, it basically doubles it and your TT will be way higher than it should. That’s how you know.

Where do you get mail? That’s your permanent address.
Really? And where do you find this definition of permanent address?

Youd’d be the kind of pilot who’d live in a high tax state like CA and leave your parents address in a no/low tax state because you get mail there?

Ok sport, do whatever you want. I don’t care. Just what I would call sound judgement.

Refer to 61.60

The holder of a pilot, flight instructor, or ground instructor certificate who has made a change in permanent mailing address may not, after 30 days from that date, exercise the privileges of the certificate unless the holder has notified in writing the FAA, Airman Certification Branch, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, OK 73125, of the new permanent mailing address, or if the permanent mailing address includes a post office box number, then the holder's current residential address.
