Default Ideas on a side job while waiting for call?

Greetings all, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I'm transitioning from the USCG (FW) to the airlines next Summer (retiring 30 June) and I realize I may have a decent sized gap between the interview and my class up date. Does anyone have any ideas on a potential supplemental side job (flying or otherwise) for a few months that's worth the time? I have my A&P still and my CFI/II, (4k total, 3500 turbine) etc; just looking for some help thinking outside the proverbial box. thanks!

Plenty of time to get a regional class scheduled. Pick up a sign-on bonus, an ATP, a type rating, and some 121 experience while you are waiting in the pool for your final job.

Right, I was thinking along those lines; but I imagine any signing bonus will come with strings/contracts usually..

Bank the bonus so you can pay it back if the majors call. Most are pro rated.

If you're looking to fly, regionals are better for several reasons. Be careful with low end 91/135 jobs, a training bust or operational violation will set your career back far more than the paycheck might be worth.

It really varies. Some pay it out in installments, so much for showing up, so much upon completion of IOE, so much at the end of year one. Don’t spend it until you earn it and it won’t be a problem.
