Airlines vs Corporate after UND
Hello forum,
As I progress through the flight courses here at UND, I feel like I should start forming a plan for when I graduate but I'm having a hard time choosing what I want vs what I need immediately after college.
My short-term priorities would be income/financial because I am on full loads, but there is a lot of aircraft I want to get time in as a personal interest and goal (like the Avanti and KA350). On the other hand, I do want to fly passengers and be a part of an air carrier.
I will be eligible for an R-ATP and there are airlines here all the time offering pathway programs, I want to be sure I take advantage of my time here but still be able to achieve my personal goals. If anyone has any input or advice that would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

A common path is to get your CFI within, or outside the 141 program then instruct.
After 12-18 months, get hired by a ‘regional’, continue hours & an upgrade, continue applying.
Along the way don’t get tripped up by peripherals, DUI, driving record, medical, whatever.
Be willing to move where the job is. There may be some military options also, if it suits you.
