Default pencil in logbook

hey everyone, i have an interview coming up in about 2 weeks. my only concern is that i have a number of pages with the TOTALS entered with Pencil. I was instructed to do so as a Commercial student but recently was told it is not a good idea. I have changed to Pen but am wondering if it is worht the trouble to change the pencil to pen. Any advice?

Thanks!

I know plenty of people who total their logs in pencil (but write the entries in pen). Personally, I don't think it's a big issue.

Heck- I don't even have a "logbook" any more...

Totals key word, if your TOTALS are in pencil its ok. When someone looks thru you book they can pick any page and run the numbers if they add up your cool if they don't pen or pencil it won't look good. My totals are and always will be in pencil My entries are written very carefully in pen all black ink.

Just do the friggin' addition correctly and stop looking like a third grader.

Good luck.

Because we are pilots and don't like doing math. So those calculus skills we acquired in college immediately went out the window and now we can't even add our logbooks. But hey we can do a W&B and performance calculation like nobody's business.

All Navy logbooks I have ever seen are done almost exclusively in pencil, except when logging green ink (designated combat flights)

I used to help out with recruiting at a small regional and we saw “totals” in pencil quite often - no big deal - beats white-out which we saw even more often!
