Default Need advice

After 1.5 years of trying to get my ppl I’ve decided to give it full throttle ahead and dedicate full time to it. I’m currently sitting at around 65 hours or so, have yet to take the written, have yet to do an Xc time, and had just soloed last month. I currently go to a small part 61 school that’s 1hr and 15th an away. I live north or DFW about 2 hours. My question is, should I start over basically and attend a part 141 school that has self examining authority DPEs in the area are backed up about 3 months or keep dragging my way flying twice a week at my current school that is about to be down from 2 cfis to 1 cfi. I’m currently 40 and hoping to make this a career switch if I can hit the hiring the wave before it ends. After I get my ppl I plan on using my GI bill at a part 141 place, so was wondering if making the switch now would be a wise to get accustomed to how they do things? Thanks for any insight you might can provide since I’ve already taken way longer than I had planned originally. I know why they say about 90% of people who start flight training never finish and I do not want to be one of those statistics.

IMO, your next step needs to be to get the written done.

Get your written done, finish where you are now and start looking for a place suitable to use your GI Bill.
Afaik not everything will be covered as ME asd
on and CFI/CFII are usually not done under 141
so keep some extra funds to cover those.

I have the written scheduled 2 Saturdays from now. I’m just looking for any logic on if this makes sense. While I like where I’m training, I’ve be cut down to going once a week with then only having one instructor, versus training 3-4 times all depending on weather of course. I’d also be going from a non-controlled field to a Class C in OKC as well as switching from a 172 with dual G5s to a G1000. I’m just curious if any of this makes logic in basically starting over at a 141 place this far in. However, I feel like going back to the other place will take forever as well. Of course I’d be paying more in the long run, but I’m not really factoring that in as I’m just looking to knock this out.

Finish what you started.
If you switch you will receive zero credit for the PPL under 141.
Which means a minimum of 35 hrs including all the ground school.

Technically a 141 program can grant some partial credit for previous training, but it's not much and it's up to the school.

Without looking it up a 141 school can give up to 25% credit for a training course in case of a transfer from another 141 school.

IIRC I think there's also some provision for part 61 time. Maybe it's more for the CPL? Been a while.
