Hi all,
I'm sitting at 2200 and 700 hours of turbine with a 4 year degree. I'm working for a regional and am leaving for a major airline in a little bit with roughly 2300 and 800 turbine.
I have heard back from all majors outside of legacies within 2 weeks of app submission (except alaska).
Since the regional I fly at operates for all the legacies I find it near impossible to make the leap from my regional to legacy, thus why I'm leaving to a competitor...
So, my question and probably a lot of other people's question is when does an app "usually" get pulled in today's hiring climate for a regional guy leaving for a competitor? is it still 1,000 turbine?
also, trust me..... I understand how amazing of times we are in!
lastly, I have had my app profesionaly reviwed along with a couple internal LOR's at each legacy.

I have had numerous friends that heard nothing even though they are competitive and get hired almost instantly after going to one of these job fairs.
The application software that the legacy airlines are using right now is a disaster. Since the big sites that they were using got hacked, they are creating their own systems and have a difficult time searching and sorting the apps. They are hiring 60+ every week, so that would be 80-100 interviews per week. They are struggling to find warm bodies with an ATP and a good work history at this point. If you have the time, do yourself a favor and talk to someone face to face at an event.

Nobody really knows how much they system has changed compared to 6/12/etc months ago.
Nobody really knows to what degree factors other than TT/121 time etc matter. There is extensive data that it's not zero.
We DO know that the airlines are all trying NOT to eat their young. So move the ball down the field.
