Jobs other than -121-
Any recomdations on job searching outside of the 121 world, anything from float flying, skydiving, food delivery, black ops, interesting corporate gigs etc? Any leads/tips? job message boards recomdations would be super helpful? I have Climb to 350 and BizJetJobs, there must be more?? I have 10K plus hours' lots of PIC, half dozen types, CLEAN backround and no failures. Did the airline thing for a long time, out now and looking for something different. Thanks

Black ops, lol... Berry Aviation does some government work in Twin Otters flying around Africa using NVGs if that seems to interest you. They also fly Dash-8s and use Metros as a shuttle service in the Pacific. Flew on their ODC side, which is completely separate. No clue what they look for, most are all ex-military. Good luck.

A lot of the float jobs and utility work is seasonal, but there's plenty out there. Dynamic is looking for mosquito sterile insect guys in Panama, ISR stuff, and air attack with fires. Ponderosa is hiring for fires for the summer (commanders, air attack). Drop Zones dont pay much, but have a regular turnover. Bighorn Airways in Sheridan was looking for summer smoke jumper pilots in the Casa and Dornier. Phoenix Air out of Cartersville, GA, was recently looking for a GIII captain and F/O. International, ambulance. Aero Air out of Hillsboro keeps an open ad for MD-87 PIC/SIC for fires. ODL Services is looking for ISR O-2 pilots, various locations and outside the continental US. Lynden Air Cargo (Anchorage) was recently advertising for their L382's, for F/O's and FE's. Same for International Air Response (Mesa, AZ), plus looking for captains. IAR mostly does experimental parachute drops, and standby for oil spills. Kaiser Air out of Oakland, hiring for the 737. Aloha Air Cargo is hiring for the 737 in Honolulu, if you like to swim. Coastal Air Strike is hiring into the AT-802 if you have some conventional gear time and you're not asthmatic (fires). They're out of Immokalee, FL.
Lots of stuff out there. Beat the bushes.

A lot of that stuff sounds like fun and rewarding flying, just not financially rewarding. Keep in mind if you have a heart attack flying a turboprop over Africa with OGA dudes in back, you will likely die long before reaching medical care.

Lovely gem of a job at Aloha Air. I’ve only heard great things about their 737 floatplane endeavor.

If one wants financially rewarding, stick with the airline. Most of the utility jobs won't meet what one will make a a legacy, and won't have the benefits.
If one is looking for adventure, it will cost, possibly dearly.
If one is looking for safe, then one is not looking for adventure.
Perhaps corporate or fractional, instead?
If one wants a little of both, there's ACMI.

Intersting corporate is largely who you know.
My general advice - put in some quality time at the FBO. Get some business cards made with your stats on the back side. Talk to the line guys and desk girls. Bring them cookies and beer. They will know where the bodies are buried locally. If the Gulstream is getting pulled out at 0700 for an 1000 departure, they can let you know and you can stop by to meet the pilots.
