I figured they'd be pretty competitive.

I've been a cfi for quite some time now, or at least what most people would consider quite some time. Almost 3 yrs now.

So you were just a plain old MEI? Wow....good to hear they are interviewing instructors.

In terms of study material, you may want to look at "Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot". I've heard that helps for interviews.

Yeah. I instruct at a 141 flight school. I've picked up a few coorporate rides here and there, but not a whole lot to really make much of a difference. Took me about a year for each added cfi rating simply b/c i couldn't afford to do them right away.

I'd appreciate anyone's advice/gouges regarding any recent interviews. Feel free to PM if you'd rather. I feel pretty confident with my current aircraft systems, jepps, technical, but i'm worried about the written. The only other 2 interviews I've done either didn't have a written test or it was a 24 question written test. I've been studying the ATP written some here and there, but not as thoroughly as I should, at least before I got the interview invite anyway. Any help regarding what subject areas the questions, if there are any specifics, would greatly be appreciated.

The ATP-based written is right out of the book, so they kind of assume that you should be able to ace that.

A low, but passing, score on that test will raise eyebrows "knew what the questions were going to be, but still got them wrong because he didn't prepare".

Check out the online gouge sites for any recent specifics...it was too long ago for me, but I'm sure that no calculations are required.
