I'm starting to apply for summer internships and possible jobs, and was wondering what kind of references (if any) I should be including in my resume at this time. CFIs? Impressed DPEs? Professors? Any other advice as to applying for internships? Thanks for the help

Professors for sure. If you are talking about aviation (ie flight ops) internships, then DPE's also. I wouldn't use a CFI unless you can't get any professors or DPE's to recommend you, too much like a peer recommendation. A university Chief Pilot would be good.

Make sure that you ask before using them as a reference. I had a person use me as a reference once and there was NO WAY IN HE77 that I would EVER reccomend them for anything. It didn't turn out very well for them in the end.

from what i've been taught in my college level resume class your not supposed to put references on your resume. Just put at the bottom, references availavle upon request.
