Rick7777 & Lori Clark has spoken to me before. I have a youthful record. I've been arrested, done probation, pay ridiculous court cost & did community service for my stupid youthful decisions. But do I have a conviction, no... I have a record which can be overcomed if ppl really have seen you made a 180 degree turn in your life from your pass (Better if you were 21 & under, but sucks if you were 21 & up). Like Rick & Lori told me once, its not impossible to fly for the airlines, its just going to be more difficult. But they open my eyes more toward part 135/91, fractional giggs. I've went to all online apps & all if not most only ask about convictions, not really arrest, probation, &etc. You also have to pay attention to what the application ask. But it seems that if you network with the right ppl & they like you, they will hire you & it would be a plus if you didnt have record. But a record is better than a conviction anyday. Some companies just dont give a crap about reocrds, only convictions. Btw I'm typing from Evo phone, sorry for the grammer. Dont want to get caught by the G.P's ( grammer police).

 

If asked "have you ever been arrested the answer is yes no matter what the outcome ...
If the question is have you ever been convicted of a crime thats another story .
Its unfair but thats the way airlines do it .

I answered Yes to a Have you ever had a 709 ride and that killed my interview chances at a regional even though the 709 ride was due to an investigation of a Designated examiner and nothing I did wrong .I still could not even get a chance to explain it . Life is very unfair .
