Right, except the fact that the NDR doesn't list violations; only those who have had their license suspended and/or revoked. Otherwise your name isn't on it. I find it amazing how very few pilots know this.
At the risk of sounding like a d!ck, I find it amazing how very few people understand that actually obeying the rules prevents you from ever getting tickets. This has worked well for me for more than 25 years now, and if I was hiring pilots, I would consider this to be an indicator for respect for and willingness to adhere to rules, essential behavior for a pilot. Unfortunately I don't hire pilots, so my clean record only makes me just another loser.
Dude...seriously?? Yes, we are all very fortunate then, that you DO NOT hire pilots! My record has been clean for 12 years. I made some bad driving choices when I was 16-20....can't change that now! But I decided to, grow up...go to college and join the USAF. I'm damn certain that those tickets have NOT been an "indicator of respect for the rules" in my career...as an Officer or aviator!
....25 years is a nice streak btw....for a 50 yr old!!
