I wouldn't only curiosity.

Is it just a check in the box for airlines? Either you have a degree or don't, etc...

The only ranking of colleges that should concern anyone entering the profession is where they fall on the cost scale. Get your certificates done at a community college or good local 141 shop, and go to (or transfer to) a four year that is well-regarded, doesn't cost much, and will allow you to get a BS in a good field to fall back on. Guys who went to Central Southern State University at Podunkville and have a BS in Economics exist just as much at the carriers as the guys who went to Riddle. HR for the most part could care less what school you went to. Just remember though, the former have a fraction of the debt as the Riddle/ out of state tuition/ private school guys.

I did my undergraduate degree(Economics) at the University of Colorado. Getting into graduate school wasn't a problem and even without grad school, I think it's a solid degree to fall back on. Not having to pay 130K for a BS and a commercial license was nice too.

Certain legacies (esp DAL) are known to weight the quality of your college education.

I would assume that they would consider the school reputation, GPA, and major.

GPA alone is not a good indicator because an online business degree from UoP with a 3.0 should not really trump an engineering major from a service academy or ivy league with a 2.5.
