I'm looking for some advice on getting some internal recommendations at the big 3. I'm not the type of guy who jumpseats and hounds the pilots the whole way there to get me a job. I've been to job fairs but there isn't much opportunity to get an internal rec there, rather just networking.
Maybe I'm just too passive and should ask more guys if they'd give me one but that seems annoying and desperate.
I have a few at American, really just need some more at Delta and United.
Any advice or experience with this helps! Thanks!

Whatever you do, please do not spam forum members with PMs. If you are going to spam, at least target your PMs to those who actually work at those airlines.
Just be warned, however, that all such spammers were immediately banned when we received notification.

What is your background?
I recommend LinkedIn. Create a nice professional profile and start building contacts. Start with friends and current coworkers, it will then search their contacts for other people you might know. Build to old colleagues, classmates, etc. Inevitably, someone from your past (old CFI, colleague, etc) will pop up and you might have flown with them and they are now at UAL or DAL. On the other hand, don't blindly ask people you don't really know for a rec. make it legit.
