Any tips appreciated.

OK, seriously? IIR, you're ex military right? I would network real hard with anyone from any units you severed with that work at Purple. I think you'll get better mileage that way.

The only way is to use the internet, you can keep it updated on line and it is the only way it will be read. If you meet the minimums you will not get an immediate rejection letter and you are in the pool to be called for an interview.

I had fried that went door knocking at purple and brown.
Oddly he's at United now. Seriously they didnt give him a lot of inspiration. You have to know someone and get internals and even then its still a computer game sometimes.

Amazing what people will do to get a leg up. Maybe putting in effort to go to a job fair? Obap been going on the last few days.

Someone with an ID would have to get you on property then into the building where HR is. It'd be kind of weird, like "how did you get in past security?". Plus, they're probably some of the busiest people at the company now.
Your best bet, along with the above mentioned job fairs, would be to literally update your online application every day you fly. If that's daily, so be it. Just what I've heard, I'm not claiming to be in the know. (and not many people even know what makes a competitive application)

Keeping an updated application is a big plus. There was a huge post on that in another forum (majors) here some time ago.
