Please do not tarnish the hard fought gains that Eastern and United pilots accomplished at much personal sacrifice. If pilots fit the definition of Scab then they should be labeled as such. If they don't, then with all due respect, keep your pie hole shut. If you have evidence that some pilots are scabs then please post it and I will support you 100 percent. If not, again, please leave it alone.

Under the highlighted section it says they are excused from flying "struck work". To my knowledge they never flew struck work.

Re: Scab Airline
The ATI union purposely crossed the Abx strike picket lines to get a payoff from ATSG - The textbook definition of a scab.
The payoff was ATI received aircraft originally slated for ABX. The scab activity gave ATI aircraft and upgrades.
The quote below is from the ATSG CEO publically on the record – basically, the appreciation for ATI crossing the strike picket lines – and their reward to follow.
"ATI, whose pilots are represented by ALPA, and did not support the strike, will crew all of the remaining aircraft we deploy for Amazon."
ATI did not support the strike, all other carriers did.
The on the record public quote is all the evidence you need.
Max – Abx lost aircraft and upgrades because ATI crossed and became the dedicated ATSG strike busters.

If you're not willing to do what it takes to ruin the careers of those poor turboprop pilots, then the ATI guys aren't scabs.
There is only one definition of a scab. Either they all are, or they all aren't.

You guys are blowing it. You have an opportunity to work together to get something great but you're too stupid to see it. The ATI pilots didn't have a choice. By a contract section that IBT helped them negotiate they had to cross but they didn't fly the struck work which was the only way they could legally support the ABX strike.
All this infighting is just giving more power to JH who is pulling your strings

The above are all valid points, however, a key point was the chain of events.
First off: A strike is a strike is a strike and thats a strike...you DONT bend metal and you DONT cross picket lines. Its actually debatable on whats worse.
Any strike is a legal strike once its initiated. Only a ruling can say otherwise. So you treat it as a legitimate strike no matter what. Once its ruled as an illegal strike only then could you cross if you dare. If the strike continues past that ruling only then can damages be sought/awarded to the company etc etc.
ATI crew members were told that this was an illegal strike from the beginning by ALPA national and their MEC even before any official ruling. This led to a lot of confusion on what to do. I understand and agree with 1224 keeping it under wraps and am not pointing fingers that way. Yep we would have had a few cross regardless I wont deny that. Our union would have been better if they said "lets honor this for now and get all the facts before moving forward". Live and learn
