Inshallah! Even with National's newly hired fool running operations, it would still be an improvement over WG management.

It sounds like you've finally seen the light. This didn't have to happen. The guy who caused it is the only one profiting. It sure looks like WG is going to be only a 744 airline going forward.

The UPS Teamsters strike (with their pilots respecting the picket lines) isn't happening, so no chance for WG to grab some of that lucrative scab flying.
FedEx pilots didn't give away scope by ratifying their recent T/A, so no chance for WG to grab some of that outsourced flying.
Other than the current slight uptick in "government" flying, it's been very slow at WG, particularly on the MD. The owner's vague, defensive letter to employees didn't do anything to ease concerns. How long can this continue? Only one man knows, and he's never going to share his plan with anyone. But I'm sure he'll find a way to profit from the outcome of his poor decisions.

Larry, Curly, Moe and Shemp, the anti-ALPA ESOP cheerleaders, have been very quiet. Reality punched them in the face and it got to the point that they didn't even believe their own b.s. any longer.

It wasn't on the pilot schedules, but the Blue One aircraft schedule had a bunch of MD changing to green status at the very end of July. It sure looks like something big was planned for the start of August and the bankruptcy financing details started to leak soon after that original plan collapsed.

Being green status in blue one could’ve been for a multitude of reasons and WGA would not have been saved by FedEx flying off peak in a reduced cargo environment. It’s illogical to hypothesize otherwise. The death sentence was signed with the ESOP and the poor leaders in WGA ALPA(not all, half those guys are super high quality) helped hasten the end.
Hope the upstanding and hardworking pilots, mechanics, ops and loadmasters and otherwise land on their feet somewhere better.
