When the secured creditors make a choice between liquidation or restructuring, labor peace with the pilots vs. being at war with the pilots union will be a major deciding factor. YOUR fight against the world's largest pilot union for your own self-serving reasons will likely be a contributing factor in WG's demise. You own this!
YOUR ongoing failure to acknowledge that it was the owner's ESOP "cash out" plan that CAUSED THIS FINANCIAL CRISIS means you are beyond hope. YOU are about to get what you deserve, but I do feel sorry for most of my co-workers. They didn't deserve to be treated this way.
I never bought into the ESOP b.s., so my retirement will be fine. Thanks for asking.

YOU. STILL. DON'T. GET. IT.

It is not acceptable to keep the company's problems a secret in order to help recruiting and retention efforts. WG had a pilot shortage LONG BEFORE the current financial crisis due to low pilot pay, pathetic travel and a dysfunctional management team focused on destroying ALPA. It's gotten worse since half of the fleet was parked and WG started defaulting on its obligations due to ESOP debt servicing. Most pilots remaining at WG are smart enough to understand that the company is avoiding certain airports right now because of unpaid bills and the threat of aircraft impoundment, but those considering a job at WG need to know these facts.
Don't worry, I think there are still enough desperate pilots in Curaçao who are willing to take a foreign pilot contract position at WG.

To slandering, sexism, xenophobia let’s add a big shot of hypocrisy. It’s in every line you write. You’re not worth a second of my time anymore. Keep doing what you’re doing. Best of luck in the future.

Before you go, please ask the village idiot a question for all of us. You know, the head anti-ALPA guy with the accounting degree and the Series Blah Blah Blah license who knows more about the ESOP than anyone else. I haven't received my 2022 ESOP participant plan statement yet. Is there a problem? Am I still an ESOP millionaire, or not?
Goodbye. Have a nice life. Learn from your many mistakes!

I might have made a mistake or two, but I’ve never made the one you’re making right now: don’t burn bridges, don’t get into a s..t show with your fellow pilots and treat everybody with respect. Good luck to your future job hunt !

I think chapter 11 is the next step. They said back in February that the plan was to have 8 operating MD-11s, 5 fully operating and 3 operational spares, with the rest being parked and used for parts. So drawing down the MD-11 fleet should not come as any surprise to anyone who has been paying attention for the last five months or so. The 747 fleet seems to be in relatively high demand, outside of the staffing issues. But the staffing issues are being addressed by moving more MD guys over to the 747 fleet.

I am sure the APC elders supported by APC board of experts will be able to weigh in. Just don’t shoot the messenger who simply copy/pasted the article.
