Is the long term plan is to replace all the 208s with the 408? No, the 408 will not be replacing the 208. It will fill a void between the 208 and the ATR 42.

The 408 isn't authorize to carry DG, it's a flop on the design. Therefore, the 208 will be around and will be on the same route as the 408, kind of comical.
ATR will be around for awhile, it's a 121 operation anyways.

The 408 would be a perfect aircraft for PHX, there are multiple flights to FLG and YUM that could be covered by one 408 (once the Haz Mat issues is resolved). There is not enough parking or freight volume to justify an ATR.

FO question
How long do you have to be an FO at Empire on the ATR before switching to left seat if you have 700 plus PIC multi turbine time already and almost 3000 TT. I’m guessing 1000 hours since it’s 121?….will they count 135 time towards that time?
thank you

You’ll want to look up the reg, but it’s more like “does the FAA count 135 time”. I don’t recall the number, but it’s in Part 121.The reg talks about certain 135 time at various part 135s requiring and ATP. Cape Air pic time is an example, as well some 135 unscheduled PIC turbojet operators.
