Brad's is good, but as long as you're in Bartlett, you might as well have Moma's.

I put Corky's behind Neely's Interstate, Germantown Commissary, Rendezvous, and Central BBQ (in that order). Bozo's is on the list to try next chance I get!
But who can resist the banana pudding at the G'town Commissary? |

Corky's is for tourists............the best in MEM is the BBQ Shop off of Madison. Good hot bbq sauce too, it has a smooth burn to it.
But who can resist the banana pudding at the G'town Commissary? So if you had to explain to someone in SYD about Corky's you'd say Corky's=Fosters and BBQ Shop=VB? ;) |

I certainly agree that Corky's is far from the being the best BBQ in Mempho. I would add Brad's to that list also, but IMHO the BEST is at a small dive on N. Parkway Ave near St. Jude's Hospital and a housing project. It is called Cozy Corner. Only open for lunch during the week. Cash only. Ok area during the day, but they have lock the cooks in at night to protect them.

What about Central BBQ in Midtown. I like it better than the ... more famous stuff. We are close to the Frat house but closer to Cooper/Young and Central is the way to go. Or forget BBQ and try the Soul Fish Cafe on Cooper. Best food in town.
Central BBQ gets my vote for shoulder, followed by tops and colemans. Rendezvous is the best ribs, followed by Central BBQ. PS, born and raised in Memphis on BBQ (and have had the heart attack to prove it). |
