Check www.aircar.com.
HQ is in MKE, though I think most pilots are outbased. I hear they're a good outfit to work for.

As for the company, crappy QOL, old minimum technology airplanes, pressure to fly in crappy weather...everything you'd expect from a 135 freigh company. Good place to build time from what I hear though, fly a lot and a quick upgrade. Only recently did they reopen the application process though, they closed it down in about November I think.

Awesome ...
Now if they have SD3-60s flying in formation in Thunder over Louisville this year ... I'll be there for that !!!
Just as exciting as watching a convoy of big rigs blow down the interstate. And ALMOST as fast !
Later, CC

Whoa there Ms. Mama. They were practicing formation flight to do some contract work for the military in the middle east when they had a midair (If I'm not mistaken).

It was a photo shoot, right? Maybe the setting sun had something to do with how they wanted the pics to look. In any case, I wouldn't call a photo shoot screwing around. UPS has promo pics done all the time, if two ran together with loss of life, how would you feel if someone said "they were screwing around and got killed"?
If you new someone who died doing it it would probably tick you off to hear that.

Photo shoot
The flights for each of the two shorts were for certification purposes with the new fuel tanks installed. The pilots decided to take the airtime as a opportunity to take PERSONAL photos. The photo shoot was not company sanctioned, as any airline photo-shoot is. Note how one of the captain of the doomed airplane brought his wife along? How many pilots bring their wives along on a photo shoot at UPS?
