Thanks Guys!

Just a blind "Thanks" to whoever brought my Rx sunglasses back from FRA last week and put them in the Lost & Found bin in MEM.
I had a trip through FRA in March and my glasses fell out of my uniform pocket when I went to get some water for the layover.
I searched all the next day in my room and couldn't find them although I knew I had them in my uniform shirt pocket when I landed. Efforts to find the crew and the tail number were not successful -- scheduling and MOCC were just too busy to chase tails #'s, crew, etc.. down -- so I thought they were lost.
I checked when I got done with the trip in March and they were not in the bin. I was certain they were lost.
Last week before starting another trip, I checked again and lo' and behold! there they were!
Whoever you are, thanks a bunch! It was a $300 pair of very nice Carrerra sunglasses that fit and look good that I picked up in HKG on a layover.
FYI...... technique only..... when leaving stuff in L&F bin, put "found in tail # on such a date" and the owner can track you down. I picked up some glasses for another FO in Asia and he left me a Starbucks card which I thought was really cool and an excellent technique.

Hey Tony, isn't there a way to track a tail number history other than the mx history. I know I can pull up a format view on the calendar that will give the tail number for each flight leg but when you click on it it just gives you a 5 day maintenance history.

I'm sure Foxhunter could refresh our memories on that one. I'm bettin' he's forgotten more about IMS than I ever learned. When I find stuff, I look at the ACARS flight log, as it shows the last 5 flights. Then it's just a matter of comparing flight numbers, dates, and city pairs to determine who the crew was. Next step is e-mails to the candidates, and the successful conclusion of the process is returning the item to the guy's/gal's locker. No, wait, I've never put anything in a gal's locker, so scratch that part.

I think you can still do it in IMS, though I haven't done it in a while and would have to dig around to find the syntax. It's probably in an old FPA Calendar, or in the IMS User Guide I found as a newhire. Clear the IMS screen and type FLT???.

Green Screen: FLT092 xxxx mmddyy will give you the info for a particular flight. From there you can select PF11=Line of Flight for the recent history and short term plan for that tail.

When I was a new hire I found a flashlight in a 727 and duly dropped it in the Lost and Found.
A week later this guy calls me at home - burning mad because I had done that (it must have been stolen). Evidently he wanted me to get it in his locker somehow. If you're reading this, I'm off probation now, so bite me....

Has any one found a nice LED flashlight? Turn it in already, I know you have it.
