Attrition to Cargo competitors and Pax cargo carriers has been going on for years nothing new. No attrition to pax right now wouldn’t you say. We’ve always lost to FedEx/UPS immensely so nothing new there. I mentioned retirement which has always been rather small and with lines wrapped around the building at all cargo carriers; classes are staying more intact and a significant increase in OEs. I will include that several of these new hires having experience and really great attitudes (Just a mere 3 I have witnessed this past month), attrition is a real thing but not nearly as numerous or even a glitch of a worry for the company right now. If you were to hire Legacy folks/ anyone with a better job previously with rehire rights (ask UPS and some others after their 9/11 hiring), that is when it becomes a Very Real Thing like it has been prior to CVD19.

Agree it’s real, but not even comparable to over 7 months ago. Actually met a guy who came back... Haven’t ever seen that, have you? Honest question...

Out of curiosity, what was the typical experience level of a new hire prior to COVID? It's obviously trending upward right now, but it seems like it was bad before this.

No they're not asking for anything like that.

well I’m an XJT guy so if I get a call at least they know I won’t leave like 90% of the current pilots applying.

Easier to keep folks who had less than 1K PIC, just the nature of the beast. Things here have been under the microscope since last year so that’s a given/no brainer. Now all the Beasts - here, there, everywhere can choose buffet style and simply pick and choose or even pass as they please. Shortage, not so much for now.

I keep getting a "Invalid Data Error" when trying to upload my resume. I've tried reformatting and saving in different versions of word doc as well as pdf and can't seem to get around the error.

Anyone else have this problem or find a solution to it?

Thanks

Check the size of the document. Some upload sites have specific size limit on the uploads (5 MB seems to be common). I recall having a similar issue on a different web application. It didn't tell me the problem, just that there was an error. You may have to compress the PDF down in size or re-scan it and save at a lower quality to get it small enough. Look closely for an upload size limit.

That may not be the problem, just one possibility. When it comes to uploading documents, it's difficult to go wrong with a photo-scanned PDF. If you don't have a scanner/document processor, there are several very good phone apps that will convert a picture of the document into a photo-scanned PDF document (make sure you line photo up carefully).

Prior to Covid? Did they have a ticket? Hired. They were extremely desperate in January and might've been forced to the negotiating table over it.
