Default Newbie Disputed Pairing Question

So I'll be on reserve soon and was wondering what do I do if I am assigned a disputed pairing? Is it ok to fly if assigned, but not pick it up in open time? Thanks...

Got it about right homeboy, if you get it on reserve it's your unfortunate duty to fly it. What you can do is write an ops report detailing how it is, in fact, onerous and unsafe.

It's also always a good idea to keep a sleep log to show how your rest is affected. After the latest "Flight Line" detailing the importance of our rest it is entertaining to me that this is still an issue. 'Step over a dollar to save a dime' mentality.

Good luck on reserve an remember the bottom line, disputed pairings are an active tool for us to fight the degradation of our livelihoods. Above all, have fun, we have the best job in the world.

Its the only time you can fly a DP and not be a dirtbag. Well, you can still be a dirtbag, just not for flying a DP on reserve! Its the ONLY way to get a DP without asking for it.
