They'd need another 200 airplanes AND pilots willing to fly them at 40% of the compensation for almost twice the work.

To be honest, Bezos would do better to just buy FedEx or UPS but he is insistent on going with Prime Air... He's gonna have decades of growing pains even if he does pay his labor.

Agree 100%.
Not sure what it would cost to buy FedEx or UPS, but it does seem like a simpler solution. Still, even Bezos might get sticker shock with that one....

He wouldn’t want UPS with their strong Union. Fed Ex, all they have is a pilots union. Everybody else is paid a lot less than UPS and all FDX Ground employees are sub contract labor.

Again, why would Bezos buy a giant company with all of its attendant problems when he can contract the work for much less and let those companies deal with the headaches?

When those multiple subcontract companies start having scheduling issues and labor issues that Bezo’s can’t control. Only so many options. My guess he will end up buying Atlas or the Certificate, cheap labor and aircraft.

That doesn't make the problems go away. It just moves them to a new place and makes them HIS problems. As a customer using multiple companies, he's in a position to make demands and threats to get what he wants at the price he's willing to pay.

He's more sinister than that, he buys partial ownership or demands it to do business, so he has controlling interests. Labor isn't on his team.

Bingo! And not only keep these problems at arms distance, but the lawyers are running the show at said airline and I am pretty sure Bezos brain trust & lawyers are far from shabby to help subvert the situation.

Do you think Amazon, Atlas, or ATSG has given any thought or care to safety and the pilot shortage? Look how many aircraft haven been bent on landing, ran off the runway, about ran out of gas, and sadly lost all together!

It appears Amazon runs these airlines. Should hhe FAA should look closer at all the operational control Amazon exerts over Atlas and ATSG? It appears Amazon dictates the schedule they pick the fuel load, pick the alternates, dictate reroutes, pick the flight plan speeds, dicate maintenance, they run the airline by telling management, pilots and support how to do their job, yet assume no liability. It appears they essentially are the certificate holder.

One of these days it's all going to come out in a story on a major network for the whole world to see how dumb Amazon Prime air really is!

I bet any money Amazon Prime air dosent have a safety department. There is no way they do because they wouldn't allow ATSG and Atlas to hire inexperienced pilots with their industry low pay.
