Hi All,
Does Amerijet allow international jumpseating to the Caribbean ? TIA

We have reciprocating jumpseat agreements with American and others but as you know Covid has really put a strain on stuff in terms of entry, etc.

I’m a potential furlough with a WARN letter and was not asked to resign.

Just don’t be that guy with entitlement issues. We already have two and not scoring any points with anybody. And if they tell you you’ll get CVG be prepared. It went senior this bid and will probably again next one too. Miami flying can be a tough commute. Respect when furloughed and you need a job. But being honest about this. I feel some are in for a dose of reality very soon.

What about SMF, how senior has that been going?

SMF goes very senior, and has since the start of that base. About half the lines are going for OE currently, so it makes the ones open for bid go very VERY senior now.

As mudflap already answered yes it Is going senior. And we don’t expect that to change. Same with CVG. Be forewarned if you come here be prepared to do Miami flying. They are tough trips to commute into as load control frequently changes destinations and that effects sign on times. It’s one reason why so many senior guys have bid out for more reliable schedules. It’s not all bad but if you’re coming here on furlough you need to be prepared for that.

I’m guessing you guys are doing more overnights now that the flying is expanding beyond Caribbean flying?

Lots more. Postal service, DHL and ETOPS all have significant time away from Miami and overnights. We still have the day trips but they can be brutal. 4-6 legs in a 767 island hopping isn’t fun, especially in our lone 200. Personally I bid out to CVG for a set schedule and as close to home basing as we currently offer where the company pays for my ticket and hotel. I’ll do that all day. Far easier than Miami flying.
