Dagnabit.... Bus flyer beat me to it!!!
But in all seriousness... There are alot of us who have done both, and I would never go back to flying pax!! In fact, I know several guys at "real airlines" who are beating down the doors trying to get in.

Bear with me please I'm still a teen and I'm fairly new to the forums. What I want to know is whats the difference between a major airline like say Delta *First one I could think of* or something and FedEx? (besides the fact that one carries boxes and the other one people) Does one get paid more than the other generally? Are there any other differences, like is Cargo easier to get into than a Major airline?
Thanks for all the helpThere is a greater difference between a regional passenger carrier and a major passenger carrier as far as pay, work rules, "ease" etc. than there is between passenger and cargo.
In a similar vein, smaller cargo companies are lower paying and the work rules are not nearly as good vs a FedEx or UPS among the cargo carriers.
Bottom line, for the majors--- doesn't matter too much what's behind the door. With cargo, you won't get a "call" from a F/A complaining about something, and you don't normally have to deal with TSA (2 very good bennies).

Seriously,
I have done all 4 types of flying (there may be more)....Military, Commuter, Major and now Cargo....
Cargo is easier to commute to, we don't have to deal with passengers and most importantly is much more stable.

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't FedEx and UPS some of the highest paying outfits in the world?

Compare to some of these legacy "people" carriers.
