Default Well Done, Exco!

The updated MOU which got released today is a great measure to reduce some of the fear on the line and get our minds back into flying. This was a very welcome development. Nice job!

Any idea if the higher per diem is going to apply to those in training?

It's publicly available on the iap2750 site. I'll post a link below. It's really nice to be vocal with good news for change. It takes twp parties to have an agreement, so I should also give credit where credit is due to managers who worked on this.

Hopefully this is the framework for more positive results on our other persistent issues. Also, by having this MOU out for the world to see we're also moving toward transparency, closing loops opened during public debate, etc. All of these are trends I really like.

Item 14 of the Atlas MOU allows the Company to deadhead you on SouthernAir aircraft for company business. Wasn’t that a sell-out? That was a huge bargaining chip that the Southern side was not willing to cash in while they negotiated their MOU.

Southern welcomes all jumpseaters. However, I would not expect Southern captains to allow ANOTHER airline to DEADHEAD their pilots for company business. That is a violation of every pilot group’s jumpseat agreement that I am aware of.

Am I wrong?

i guess it's a "temporary" change to include SA aircraft as "company" aircraft so that it would constitute a DH and not a JS. Would have thought that Southern pilots would need to agree to that too.

Curious why we gave up $50 meal allowance on the company card for a temporary $5 bump in perdiem. Anyhoo these are unprecedented times. Be safe out there y'all.

Our guys did a good job on the MOU. It was negotiated and not a “wish list”, there’s always going to be some give and take.

Duration
the remaining in effect until the end of the current bid month is good; but what if they notify they’re canceling the MOU after the awards for the following month have already been awarded.
The duration should be until the end of all currently awarded monthly schedules. That covers guys bidding high TAFB lines expecting $4ph instead of $2.40ph

looks decent

I think I got bad info.. Looks like the perdiem hourly rate increases. Onwards and upwards.

True, but I think the company is definitely smart on their part to cease $50 per day vs a bump to $4 = $96. Since old rate per day plus $50 =$107.60 if we max the $50. You know we did, good pilots are always compelled to evaluate the situation and nit pick for any potential gains. Dang, down $11.60 phooey. It would be nice to keep the $4ph indefinitely though.
