Its the one ABX agreed to to breath life into the company that had just had its stock delisted and to refleet ATI. Stick around....you will find out.

Quote: Nightfr8dg is right, they make so much extra money working the system, especially when they have pilots on furlough..
Nobody is on furlough....ABX is hiring

Quote: It's all about money...hell the current consessary contract ABX has passed because the pilots at ABX on furlough voted for it to get 80k each in severance money. They new it had provisions for bidding open time but did not care. They assumed the airline would be gone anyway. They also knew the pilots left behind would not get any severance money if they parked the aircraft the next day.....they took it and ran. Now they bi@#h.
So which is it? All about the money or, as stated by you:

Again...all you focus on is pay...there is like 41 articles in the ABX contract. Only one is base pay. Great if you want to live for the moment...a great contract needs to cover everything not just pay. If you are on the negotiating committee at your airline would you only discuss pay and let the company have everything else? Very short sided...”

I’d bet an ATI guy with your same DOH is banking more than you. If the APC profiles are close to accurate, it’s no contest. As for not caring less.... your repetitive posts attacking their CBA prove otherwise.

Seems like the most significant "refleeting" of ATI has come from the kazillion planes they're flying for Amazon.

Which they're flying not because of price or the cost of their pilots, but rather significantly because they didn't try to embarrass Amazon, hold it hostage, and screw up its ability to serve its customers during Peak...

Went over your head I guess... I wouldn’t want to fly for a place where senior bubbas think of themselves before anything, picking up that extra time lining their own pockets while their fellow pilots are on the streets. Flown with a few former ABX’er crossovers, don’t paint the other side as scum when your pilot group wasn’t any better as far as selfishness.

Now, if you were one of the pilots that didn’t pick up extra time while pilots were on furlough, I apologize for jumping on you for it.

Amazon awarded the contract to ATSG, not ATI. The former is a holding company derived from siphoning assets and profits from ABX into holding company. Following the humanly unnatural act of a child giving birth to the parent, ATSG utilized the cash not to invest and grow ABX, but instead to acquire other companies (ATI then Cappy back in 2007). Fleet wise, the only thing ATI brought to the table was a fleet of outdated DC8's which became virtually worthless upon the cessation of BAX Global contracts. Absent the ATSG transaction, ATI likely would have gone out of business, I"ll repeat, prior to ATSG acquisition in 2007, ATI had ZERO B767's. It was Joe Hete who made the decision to give planes to ATI. I'll take the later back if you can prove to me that you are actually a fly on the wall that heard Jeff Bezos tell Joe Hete to give planes to ATI..
From ABX pilots viwpoint, ATSG whipsaw situation is akin to you putting your sweat and $$ into a 401K or IRA only to watch your neighbor or cousin get the benefits. (Paraphrasing prior ABX poster.) There, beat you to it, nfd.

good to know, thanks for that. Not trying to start a war here, and I know this isn’t the side of the industry that is necessarily known for its integrity in an already volatile industry.
