Is Dothan, AL (DHN) a base or an outstation? Any chance of a 408 on that route to MEM and back?

I'm a MEM based FedEx guy who's wife is in the CFI phase. Looking for some intel on your MEM operations on the ATR. I've found some info about your schedules and they seem like a dream come true. Is a MEM ATR based pilot position available as new hire directly or does it take some seniority to hold? Are y'all ever forced to work your PTO week? (Every 4th week???) I see y'all on the ramp coming and going so I assume y'all operate through AOC just like us, is that right?

Is the new hire class for the 408 still going on every month? will this continue for the rest of 2023?

Are all new hires for the 408 floaters?

Anyy idea which city will the first base be at?

Nope. Unless Mountain has something totally different. I've flows ATR's at Empire and cargo configuration Silver. None of them have lavs. It's just gonna be empty water bottles! On the pax ATR's the lav is in the back. They pull them out for the cargo configuration.

The MEM ATR position is available to new hires, assuming the company needs pilots in that base. It looks pretty well staffed at the moment. Sometimes the company gets desperate/short staffed and will ask if you'd like to work your PTO week, but it's not required. I've never worked a PTO week, and I never will.

The feeders don't go to the AOC at MEM. We basically board a shuttle bus outside of main screening in MEM that takes us straight over to Feeder City. We have our own ops room/lounge/sleep rooms at Feeder City. It's not nearly as nice as the facilities at the AOC though.

Appreciate the response. It looks like y'all have a couple of guys coming online with FedEx in October. I look forward to picking their brain about the purple runway program. Wonder if it's possible to get hired outside of the flow if you're in the program?
