Heh - that's a good one, and certainly within the realm of possibility, what with passenger carriers hiring again.
But mine was a date - an educated guess at when the next class will start. June is clearly out at this point, and July feels unlikely to me. Late July, maybe. But I'm still taking August 5th in the office pool.

The waiting game isn't fun anymore and getting worrisome..
Thank you

In my case, it was a full month. But that was a few years ago when you could count on someone showing up at the appointed time.
I don't know how deep the current pool is, but hiring pools here have a way of evaporating over time. Once the word comes down to start training again, they're probably going to be scrambling to find people to fill classes.
Apparently, some uncertainty has caused them to hold off running classes that we're pretty sure they need, but this business is weird that way. And this company is never overstaffed. If something has been delayed by a few weeks, they're not going to have 10 extra FOs just hanging around with nothing to do. They're going to wait until they were needed yesterday and then start training. And then 25% to 50% of those scheduled in the class will drop prior to the class date or simply no-show (which is just plain rude regardless of what company we're talking about). So you may get a panicked call soon for class date less than a week away, and then you can decide whether their emergency is also your emergency.
So my advice is to enjoy your summer and not think about it - watched pots and boiling and all that. If there's anyone at this company who can predict class dates, they're not saying, and the information we're getting is fairly vague.

I do think it's interesting the application window is open (and has been for months), but no word on future classes. My next inquiry was going to be pool sizes, but as you mentioned that's uncertain as well.
The waiting game continues..

Unfortunately there's not much to do right now...
I just finished my training and I'm starting my IOE this week... and there is another class (May) that just finished their training too.
The company is short of instructor right now, so probably the company will finish all the training (April and May) classes and then think about new classes.
Unless something happens, like a new plane tomorrow... but I don't think that will be the case.

Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on completing training. If I may ask, is training rapid fire or were there gaps in between? I am not sure if it's sim availability or company training footprints, but I've read other ACMI training programs to be somewhat dragged out.
The training was really fast and well organized. No gaps between ground school and simulators.
