Not sure to be honest but if interested in National, the best thing is to show up at a hiring event with up to date CV's and a suit ready to interview on the spot.

Just my experience, that's all. Obviously others may have different observations. But the main point really is that if one is going to do this kind of flying, taking care of yourself needs to be a top priority. Make sure you are well rested and properly fed, and do the other things necessary for you to be healthy.

Would any Captains and FOs share how much they make annually? (National)
Thanks

Thanks in advance!
If your military buddy was also a military trained pilot, these two companies would both be a mistake. Your buddy should start with the legacies, then apply at SWA, JetBlue, the ULCCs, and finally the regionals. If he really wants the AMCI life, Atlas, Kalitta, Omni, and a few others are best of breed and he would be snapped up quickly. If he is merely a vet who pursued a civilian flying career, I still would aim him elsewhere. Western Global’s financial machinations to avoid dissolution in bankruptcy court are impressive (to a lawyer). National may be better off financially, but these are not companies noted for being a great place to advance your career.

The ESOP doesn’t exist since bankruptcy. All those who thought they had millions are out.

I was amazed at how many guys thought they'd still be getting an ESOP payment, even after the company said numerous times that the ESOP ceased to exist when the bankruptcy filing was made.
