The last few people hired from the program struggled going from props to large jets and almost didn’t make it. You will gain much more experience at a regional and get paid more while learning to fly a jet. Fedex express isn’t even what it’s cracked up to be it’s honestly a terrible job. A few years ago during Covid while the seniority movement was insane it masked all the things wrong with the place. Now the movement and music has stopped this place has more warts on it than the creepy guy in Harold and Kumar. Do Not Come Here no matter what they tell you it sucks.
Agree with parts of your sentiment. If someone didn't do their job and RESEARCHED this place before applying then that's on them for the decisions they made. Listening to their bros about how much money they made during COVID, isn't research and was only temporary anyway. Negotiations are never a fun time in this industry and are also temporary. If this is your first rodeo with negotiations, just know it will get a lot worse before it gets better. Union busting 101.

oh yeah like researching the day flying we had with day jumpseats to get to and from an outstation airport that has now become a two leg offline commute. How about the FDA we had with intra Europe flying and the ability to live in Europe. Or the drive and tri color bs that just means outsourcing. All that was easily researchable.

This place sucks. Do not plan on FedEx unless you live in Memphis or anchorage it’s truly a horrible company to work for. Research this and find another path this place is dead.

Don't disagree. However we've been outsourcing for years. The only outsourcing in Tricolor is White. The reality is, the cargo game has changed and people want their stuff within an hour or within a few hours. The need to change with the times had to happen. I'll give it to you that if you're junior it absolutely sucks with an ambiguous future to boot. By the time anymore of those in the PR get here this place will look drastically different. Whether that's for the better or worse isn't clear yet. This place isn't going anywhere though.

The last new hires were brought onboard in October of 2023.

Yep, and they were Purple Runway pilots. Such great optics/prospects for the future pilots in the program when/if they get furloughed.

Precisely. Why anyone would still enroll in the program at this point is a mystery.

I can’t believe I forgot about all two of them. So from December 22 to October 23 we hired two pilots.

There were more than just those two hired in 2023.
