Well I have been flying 91 for a bit. The owner of the plane sold it a couple months back and I have been looking. I have over 2k 121 time so I was thinking ATI might be a good way to get back into the 121 world. Do you guys know if the majors pick up a lot of ATI guys or should I continue to trudge along and look in 91/135 for right now? ATI might provide for a quick upgrade despite the horrible pay. I live in Cincinnati so maybe that would also help things?

There was a robust pipeline in 2022-23. Perhaps it's slowed down. Obviously a 500 pilot shop isn't going to dominate the new hire lists but on a percentage basis it was impressive.

They were saying strike when I was there 2 years ago. It isn’t gonna happen and the pilots will keep getting raked over the coals.

Is that still true? Hiring has slowed which means attrition has slowed (same story most places but would be catastrophic if the fleet shrinks, Amazon contract is up for renewal soon IIRC). That means slower upgrades, especially for someone without 1,000 121 time.
For someone who already has competitive Big 3(4,5?) minimums but lacks a recent initial training cycle it might be a good move. Fresh types are gold for the scoring algorithms (take training very seriously though, fresh busts are almost as damaging as getting fired or a DUI in this environment).
