Thanks for using the word "perception," because it typifies the comments I see frequently. You say they didn't do their homework (I guess you're speaking for yourself, too, and not just the "perception"). I think it's impossible to read (or re-read) all the communications you've received from the MEC and reach such a breezy conclusion. It looks to me like everyone involved knows there are gains we couldn't get this time around, but, on balance, the positives far outweigh the negatives. I have no reason to question anyone's preparation.

You couldn't have crystallized directly negotiating with the pilot group any better. Would you mind providing a picture that I could put next to this in wiki?

1.) I don’t want to take money off the table for those pilots who want to take advantage of the opportunity to man these foreign domiciles. 2.) Now is the time to accept the improvements in scope and make it as likely as possible that our business grows with OUR PILOTS - not contract foreign pilots - at the controls; on our next CBA, we can use our experience and leverage to make up for actual deficiencies.
i aplaud your post knowing you be be crucified by some..anyway the only reason i would change my vote is the careful consideration of your 2 points...the money that was put aside for us in the postal debacle (somewhere around $40mill/yr) went into the pockets of management as bonuses and still does....that is a fact!...the money in this case will go the same place and i have been told that...also i have buds wanting to bid these places and want the $2700...and they are going anyway..still thinking

You may not trust JL. OK. How about the NC who negotiated this deal on our behalf? No? How about anyone on the MEC who voted for the LOA? No again? It must be a lonely feeling to have no one (except one Subic pilot) working on your behalf that you can trust.

Do you wake at night when the black helicopters hover over your house? Or have you gotten used to it?

That did stand out to me, too. Must be some kind of advanced-technology spell/grammar checker involved there.

You're right, the black helicopter thing was a bit much. I apologize, DL.
