Unpaid travel.
Per diem only for days off.
lines that will supposedly be uncommutable meaning no large blocks to travel or site see.
One bid month could equal 35 days. (or does the contract still have the 6 week bid month possibility)

Doesn't equal real senior to me.

Guys will jump on STV. I guarantee it. Vote it down is still best option, but this thing will pass and then we move on...STV will fill it until it is too expensive for the company and then they will have to offer more money. I am voting no but expect it to pass. Hope I am wrong.

Actually, I think I get the time limits...BTW, it's 1 bid period, not 30 days.

Thanks for making my point again. Where's the argument? What am I missing? Under the LOA, any seats that aren't taken in a bid will go STV. Whether guys are all over it like a cheap suit, or running from it like it was Margarette-Thatcher-naked-on-a-cold-day, they will be filled.

Thus the utterly ridiculous notion that somehow voting FOR the LOA and then "just not bidding it" will somehow empower the pilots with more leverage.

6 week months are no longer in the CBA

I'm trying to figure out why some think that travel to and from STV is unpaid?

I agree but since folks on this firum agree that seats will get filled with or without the LOA passing, what do you think the Starting point for FDA issues will be when negotiations begin in 2 years if the LOA fails to pass.

Whoah, pardner....I don't agree with that. Not a CHANCE. Not without putting people into seats right off the street. IMHO, that's the reason for the full-court press by Jack-O et al. to get the uninformed to vote.

I believe your in the minority as to believeing the seats will not get filled.
What different does it make if they are new hires? The seats will get filled.

He's NOT saying the seats won't get filled. He's saying, if we pass this thing and no one bids it. THE SEATS WILL GET FILLED BY STV.

If we vote it down, they open the FDAs anyway, no one bids it, the only way they'll get you there is by SIBA (IMO, much better deal than STV).

Is that correct, Brown...?
