Thumbs down Silent Majority

Well I for one think BC nailed the demographics. What he fails to realize however (or chooses to overlook) is that the hue and cry this time is coming from the SILENT MAJORITY who have rationally examined this LOA and found it to be woefully inadequate. God forbid we should be allowed to think for ourselves. This letter may be the most condescending piece of paternalistic communication I've ever read. I appreciate BC's efforts in the past and still believe we achieved real gains with our contract (from a junior perspective too). However there can be no doubt when contrasting this letter with the sentiment at large (rational, factual and UNITED sentiment) that his finger is nowhere near the pulse of this crewforce.

"Propaganda from the company and the MEC just strengthens my resolve to vote NO!" - Unknown

Did JL and BC get together and compose their respective messages? First we needed to vote yes for the "alleged" scope protections. Next, we need to vote yes so we won't send new hires. Now we need to vote yes to seem "unified."

I was on the fence about the LOA, but after reading BC letter, I'm no longer on the fence. I agree, that this letter is one of the most condescending letter I have read. I'm now on the NO side. He fails to bring up the rational for STV, which is just one of the issues. I have lived in Europe for over two years. Yes, I did rent.

Default Stupid Is as Stupid Does

Stupid Is as Stupid Does

by Charley Reese
by Charley Reese
Most conspiracy buffs underestimate human stupidity. They see people they consider smart and powerful do stupid things, and they think the people must have some hidden ulterior motive. Surely people in such high positions, they think, couldn't do something that dumb.
They should read more history. In the first place, lots of people are rich, and some end up in positions of power simply because of the luck of their birth or other circumstances. A position of power does not necessarily mean the person holding it is smart...

Since I don't work at FDX, when does the voting close?

"intoxicating rapture" Yea, that's what I think everytime I log on here.

Thanks for negotiating the company the right to deploy me for 3 months at a pop. Did they open at 6 months for STV? He didn't seem to brag about that too much. I do consider one month away a hardship and will keep my vote no as you requested BC.
