DP Problem

I accidently picked up a DP for later in the month (...yeah, I read the SIG letter, just forgot about this particular pairing) and was wondering if I can drop this thing and pick up R days? Any other way to get out of it?

I apologize in advance for my ignorance...it won't happen again!

You may be able to just drop the pairing. Have you put in a drop request?

As far as I know, you can only drop it or trade it for another open trip. You can't pickup R-days but you can pick up Stby periods. I'd drop it.

Blame it on fatigue from those long commutes you do. At least you owned up. From what Ive seen recently that's not always the case.

Good on ya for the drop! I only wish more would do so. With that said, I've seen more DP's in open time this bid...they appear to be all gone presently but I hope many will take the road you have this week.

Those that would pick up a DP for their own selfish reasons only hurts themselves in the long run. Too bad they can't see through the blinders! The selfish who pick these things up have no idea what the concept of TEAM truly is.
