We got a BIG bone in the LOA! Now we need to find some KY jelly in there somewhere so we can take it.

Reminds me of something I was told when I first got into the Navy.

"Son, they are going to put a 20 foot pole up your a$$, then they are going to pull it out an inch at a time, and then they are going to tell you what a good deal they just gave you!":D

I can't wait for all the good deals after this 20 foot LOA!

It is there for the Mad Dog too. No more, "oh I didn't know, but it fit in my schedule and it is not that bad." No question now. They will have to admit they are scumbags from the beginning.

You mean the same guys that didn't read the LOA and voted yes will know what the "disp" means, or to even think to ask if they don't? How about the company, or at least ALPA, reminding/enlightening ALL us of this nice new "enhanced" (I've seen that word somewhere before:rolleyes:) code in VIPS!

Okay,
There may be a few guys out there who may not have a clue what you're referring to. Pretend for a minute that I don't really understand the significance of an "aug" or "extra" label on the open time and give me the low down so I (I mean they) don't screw this up.
Thanks.

Thanks.

"Extra"- a pairing that was built after the bid pack was put together
"Aug"- Augmented crew,( 2 capts./2 firsts, 1 capt/3 firsts) for flights with block hours for 12 hours or more. I hope you won't see any of these in open time in the 72 or the bus:) With the optimizer running at full steam, you just might;)

I am not sure why some seats open time has DISP listed, for example the MD11 in MEM has disputes but they are NOT flagged. So bottom line, do not rely on this "labeling" to cover you in not picking up a dispute. The ONLY way to know if a pairing is disputed is to check it against the SIG Notes.

I can see it now, there was not a DISP next to the pairing in Open Time, so I picked it up. I love the idea and it should be easy for the Company to implement system wide, but as of right now it should not be relied on !

Very true that will be the next excuse.

Actually, it will make it easier for those few guys who are so ****ed that the LOA passed that they have adopted a "****** you guys" attitude to pick up DPs and ****** us.

I hope the Rat (and others) were just venting.

I was against the LOA. I think some block reps have forgetten who they serve. That in now way is reason enough to hurt EVERYONE by flying DPs.

Heck--with all the battles at our MEC, one group that hasn't taken any spears is the SIG/PSIT. Those are the hardest working dudes in showbiz....
