DOS? The contract was signed on Oct 16, 2006. Effective on the 30th.
Oct. 16, 2007 is in the middle of the October bid month(duh). At what rate will we be compensated for the month of Oct?
I don't see it spelled out in the CBA. The only things I can find, refer to "longevity" and "crew status" increases. Or, in Fauxhunter's soon to be case...decreases. But, nothing about overall pay increases.
Old rate for credit earned prior to the 16th/30th? And, new rate for credit earned after?
That might make a difference, in OCT bidding, to the type of Bozo that asks for the perdiem when you bump him.
Any guesses?

So...It's not really Date Of Signing + 1year. Nor, even Effective Date + 1year.
It's 1st day of 1st bid month after date of signing, + 1year plus days until next bid month starts?
Nov bid month begins on Nov 05, this year.

The contract says "Hourly Pay in Effect at DOS + 1 year". I think we should hold them to it. And, for the next 2 raises as well. That would collectively be 1.5 months of earlier pay raises. Or, about $1000, for me.
I recall having to wait 6 months(?), after the FPA contract date of signing, to get our 1st raise. That was to "reimburse" the company for their costs associated with their strike preparations. Talk about twisting the knife?
I know, I know...Move on...It's over...Right? Redeye?

Since the effective date is October 30th, and that's in the Oct bid month, I'm inclined to think we should get it for the entire Oct bid month. At the very least any hours earned Oct30-Nov4 should be at the new rate.

What does contract enforcement say??? I would think legally speaking DOS +1 would equal just that Date of Signing plus one.. But I am sure Fred's lawyers already have a loophole around that... Dunno???
