Hello all

Does anyone have any info about or know of any crash pads in ANC. I looked on crew commute and crashpads.com and didnt see much up there. Thanks for any info...

I have a Duplex about 1.2 miles away from the airport... right now it has a bunch of Alaska Airlines people in it and I am not sure about availability... when were you looking for? Also since the local bus system does not go directly to the airport, you either have to have your own car, take a taxi, or walk.

Actually,
The local bus does go to the airport, maybe not directly from your pad. Google Anchorage Alaska bus, it's the 7a line. There is also a shuttle from the terminal to UPS/FDX/Cargo (907) 529-2577. If the crash pad is full, try the Northern B&B or Ilona's Pilot House, both cater to pilot types.

I have a spot opening up in my condo on Nov 1st.
3 BR 1.5 bath. Six beds, all UPS guys currently. Diamond mall area... fairly well furnished, (still in the setup phase) we need some female touches, cable, internet, and 2 car heated garage. Good bunch of guys and there is rarely more than two there at once.
About 7 to 10 miles from the airport.

There is a handful of crashpads up here, but there are other options to especially in the winter like relatively inexpensive hotels during the off season. The the AF Base has rooms a lot in the winter too.

If you are in need of a beater car, I share a car with a friend up here and he wants to upgrade to a better looking vehicle so we are going to make the leap. If anyone needs a good runner, and doesn't mind the ugly 1989 plymouth voyager Minivan we are asking $1000 bucks. PM me if anyone is interested.

Sure... and I have a 1 car garage (currently empty), parking room for another 2 cars as well in the driveway. It is a nice refurbished 1980's place on W 32nd, just off Wisconsin.
