My fault, thanks.

Remember that some of those guys got the pairing off reserve (like me). It is a success when the company has to use up the reserves for disputed pairings. Before anybody labels a fellow crewmember go the extra step to see how they got the trip. In my case, both the capt and F/O were on reserve.

Those web browser cookies can really surprise you, especially when you're not expecting it ;). (Found some interesting ones setting up the jumpseat page in MWFX)

No on WANTS to get a line check on a DP. It is ASSIGNED. I have a buddy that had one assigned on a DP for Oct a month in advance (no flying on the SO seat, line checks are the norm for currency.) You can't drop or trade it.

OK, that should probably be placed in the "That Ain't Right" category unless there were some very unusual circumstances.

So, tell me how a non-reserve pilot(was he?) gets ASSIGNED a DP a month out when the contract says:

And unless I've lost touch with reality (totally possible), normally, reserve assignments only happen inside 48 hours. Guess you just put it down to not the best of luck when you get a DP and a no-notice check together.

Hopefully all those reserves being assigned DPs are sending follow-up emails to the union (SIG) about how they are right and the pairing really is as bad as it appears.

When they are setting up regulatory LCs, it is common for standards scheduling to assign a reserve pilot to a trip a couple of weeks out. I hold a line this month, and as soon as the View/Add window closed, another Captain and a LCA were added as ACMs to a trip I was on, on 4 Oct. The captain was on A rsv this month. 1 week ahead of time, on Sep 28, I was officially bumped off the trip "for training." While not a DP, it is obviously now policy for LCs to be assigned well ahead of time for pilots holding Reserve lines.

Disputed Pairing Links Primer

BonesF15,

I'd be glad to share the 'secret'. I learned about trip URL's when I was putting together the Open Time module of MagicWebFX (which highlights disputed pairings for you).

The actual url's are those that show in the browser address bar when you click on a trip number (calendar, open time, etc) or do a trip recap inquiry in VIPS. You just have to embed those url's in the proper format for posting on this forum.

If you type the following: (Important-- delete the space between URL and the = sign; otherwise it won't show-up as a link)

Trip 11 MEM 27 9Oct

The following link is posted for all to see on the forum:
Trip 11 MEM 27 9Oct

From that point it is a simple matter of duplicating the link and replacing the appropriate elements to create the desired Links:
. . .webtr?11?MEM?27?9OCT07"]Trip 11 MEM 27 9Oct
. . .webtr?Trip#?Base?EQ?TripDate"] VIPS trip header

Really easy to do and since the link requires secure access to VIPS, only those with access can see the trip's details.

This icon, http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/im...createlink.gif, works too! Type out what you want the link to be called (ie: Trip 11 MEM 27 9Oct) and highlight/select it. Then click the icon and paste in the URL that you've copied from elsewhere!

Right as usual my man,
BUT, it's not a 'secret' if it's in plain sight :D
