I spoke with one of our newish guys that came from ATLAS and he said that he is definitly working harder here as a Z fo than he did ver there. By the same token, first year pay is pretty lame, but it builds up pretty quick.

Why would you put the interest of Atlas pilots ahead of UPS pilots? Unless you are a UPS FQSO.

Sorry not to be an a hole on the subject but tell me one pilot integration that has ever worked good for the company. Several pilot's at AA don’t even talk in the cockpit because they hate each other. Is this the kind of CRM that UPS wants. It doesn’t seem to work at AA FDX or USairways.

IF this buyout goes through, their won't be any merger of pilot groups. UPS has enough excess pilots with the retirements of the 747 and DC-8 and going from 3 to 2 pilot jets. Plus UPS will never take anyone in their employ without first having a look at them (interview). Remember, this company made the pre 9-11 poolies reinterview and then didn't take some that had already passed muster.

That's funny!

I know some great guys/gals at Atlas and they seem to be happy there.

Personally I hope both our airlines will keep prosper separately...but if we do merge, I for one would not want to see Atlas pilots kicked to the curb – let American be the nazi airline here – I think we are better than that. How the seniority should be integrated? I’ll leave that to the lawyers…They seem to be running the airline industry anyways…

It's funny we're debating something that probably won't happen anyways...Instead DHL will buy us all and then staple us to the bottom of Yangtzee River list...We'll be getting paid in sacks of rice and noodles...

For the company? Pretty much all of them.

For the pilots? - none that I know of. I guess maybe Reno being bought out by American? But then I heard it sucked for Reno guys after all, so I'm not sure...

I don't think CRM in the cockpit is the reason airlines merge - it's the bonuses for the executives that matter the most...

No but poor CRM has lead to many aircraft crashes at FDX.

Like several post from Atlas pilots, they don't want to fly for Brown. Why would we or UPS want them if we merge.

Well, there were many reasons and to say it all had to do with poor crm is a generalization of the training our purple brothers and sisters get, wouldn’t you say?....
