ATI pilots recieved official word this morning that they were now under ABX. I know people at both places and its funny, the rumors were so close yet so far away....

Yeah, whats even funnier is the fact that ABX had the 76 slots over at IAI for doors. Well, yeah you sure did. However, ATI's 76's were the ones in the slots and will be kicked out every 100 days according to IAI. LMAO! If you guys werent so antagonistic about one another and looked at it another way both groups would have figured this merger out months ago. Next time you guys are over there look at the 76's N numbers and think "why are CHI planes going in our maint time slots?"

I thought the CHI 767's were being converted by Boeing and Aeronavali, not the IAI Bedek conversion that ABX is involved in.

Should be an interesting couple of months ahead.....

Yep, sure it will be problematic at first but sure it will play out in the end. Great bunch of guys on both lists.

And what would all this great insight have done for us?

The ATI and DHL rumor thread was true. That makes 5 out 1,500,000 rumors true. I'll be darned.

Foresight is always better than hindsight. You know this has probably been in the works for a year at least. Buyouts just dont happen. Probably would have been a good time to look over that scope cluase.

Scope clause, there's nothing to scope here right? ABX flies Airborne Freight, while AStar flies AStar freight, and Capital flies Capital freight and ATI flies Bax freight. No way would a scope violation ever be in the works AND if it does, surely 1224 won't file a greivance. Or, would they? I've asked that question several times with no answer. If it doesn't merge sen lists, I may finally get my answer.

No, ABX flies DHL freight, ANA freight, Aero Mex freight, and others. Astar also flys DHL freight. There is no Airborne Freight any longer. There never was any Astar freight. Cappy and ATI have no freight of their own. They fly for customers under the terms and conditions of the ACMI's they are party to. Just like Astar and ABX.

Scope violations would occur under our agreement (I think) if ABX Air aircraft were, for example, transferred to ATI, particularly if those aircraft were used to fly DHL freight. If ATI or Cappy were to be brought in to fly DHL freight without transfer of ABX Air aircraft to them (i.e. flown by their pilots) there would be no scope violation. Just another carrier hauling DHL.
