Default SFS Rep resignation

A little FYI. Our Subic Rep has submitted his resignation at the last MEC meeting, effective upon election of a new one. Reason...."I no longer share the vision and direction of this MEC".

I think that there might be a majority of people that feel this way.

Let's just hope a MEC clone doesn't get elected in his place

That's too bad. I don't think that it's a block rep's job to "share the vision and direction" of the MEC, it's his job to represent the interests of his block. He definitely did that during the LOA debacle, and I wish he'd hang around to continue to do the same.

Don't give the MEC anyone weak. Give them someone who carries a solid vision but has enough steam left to press on. Edgar probably deserves a break.

He's still wrong for voting yes on 60 changes--but at least he came around and quit the rubber stamping game. Better late than never.

Isn't it a SUPRISE that not one word of this was in ANY of the flurry of emails, AND letters over the past few days from ALL the elected guys, and yet, none of them said a word about him resigning or felt it was important to tell the crew force...... WHY....

Guys this goes on all the time up there and almost no one knows, because there is NO freeflow of information from this MEC.

AND THESE ARE OUR REPRESENTATIVES!!!!

It may not be his job to share the vision, true, but he knows he is at a dead end and has tried his best. I would bet that most of the SFS guys are with him. And, you can bet, most likely, that the new one will be of the same caliber! There is a special LEC99 meeting at noon Monday. And, I think the ANC boys are considering the same.

The SFS guys only got his resignation letter last night at 2227 SFS time. His letter states that he submitted it at the MEC meeting.

Don't know him, but consider his situation, the timing, and the point he may be trying to make with his action.

You can say that again!

I guess you couldn't say it the first time. So the revised quote is below
