I signed up for United's Milage Plus program over the summer when they were in AOC. I was told that information would follow on how to get United to match your elite status from another airline. I either missed or never received this information. Can this still be done and who is my point of contact? I have tried Corporate Travel and the United Milage Plus phone number with no luck.
Thanks

I did it a few years ago. United required me to mail a copy of my NWA Elite monthly statement to them. It took a few weeks but my United "elite" credentials (I don't recall what they call their program?) eventually arrived. Of course, back then we couldn't get United miles so I didn't fly them much.

boco,
Go to Alpa website...There is a form on there that you need to send..
1. Sign in ALPA.com
2. Go to HOTEL COMMITTEE
3. Look to the right, there is a form to send in along with your FF statement.
I haven't done this yet, but how long does your status last?? I was thinking about sending it in January. Do they give you status for the remainder of the year, or would it end Dec 09????

They will give you status for a year. But you only get one match. Ever. They will match elite status of another carrier to try and gain you as a customer, but will expect you to meet their elite qualifications for the next year to keep it.

I did it this fall. They gave me elite status for 90 days - with a letter that states you only need 50,000 miles in the next 90 days to maintain the status!
At least we can keep miles on 4 carriers now - very cool.

Same deal I got.......only 90 days. Too short a time span to get the miles they required to keep the Premier Executive status.
