Actually all it says is posting info will be available Tuesday afternoon. Info could mean a lot of things! Also, just like the self imposed Memorial Day deadline for ALPA, they don't specify which Tuesday the info will be available! Just remember, it isn't paranoia if the bastards are out to get you! LOL

TSD,

So I'm not the only one who's a fan of Uncle Donkey bedtime stories?

The training letters are locked up so they are working the bid results and the training schedule. They will release the results tomorrow.

1) Final bids never come out as quick as the practice bids. The bigger the bid, the longer it takes. They try to parse those bids much closer for training holds and any other holds. They also spend a little bit of time to figure out the training letter and eliminate any of the guys that they won't send to training because they are too close to retirement. It usually takes two or three days before the final bid comes out and up to a week for the training letter.

2) I've never seen them post a message like the one on P.F.C right now, so I wonder if the numbers were bad enough that they are moving to plan B. If the Subic guys all pulled their HKG bids, the captain seats could've gone real, real junior.

3) Your guess is as good as mine.

How hard can it be to produce a training schedule for a couple dozen Capt upgrades!

Come on guys. Don't get your hopes up. The bid is done and over with. I predict it will be much different than the practice bids. Whatever they don't fill in the FDA's will be filled by new hires. I bet you'll see new hires in training in Jan/Feb timeframe. The company isn't going to let something so simple keep them from doing business. Yes, I voted "no" and I think the "package" offered was ridiculous, but the company will make it work.

I think you may be on to something. One year wide body Captains in HKG or no bid is my guess. Oh with mostly new hire FOs it's going to be wild over there for a few months. I think I'll stay in the lower 48 when that all starts up.

I give the bid a 50/50 chance of coming off without some manipulation.

Just my guess.

They didn't pull their bids. In fact a couple more jumped in and it went more senior.

Senior of course being a very relative adjective in this case.

Or can we expect another rousing success E Mail from the MEC.
