This is truly an issue that will capture EVERYONE's interest. No one will be willing to part with the $$.

I think that is in the junior guy's favor as I believe it is too expensive to furlough and when that threat comes it will be a hollow one.

This one, if done legally, would hit across all seats, all aircrat types. I hope your right, that is what the union has to realize. The pain must be shared. Any reduction need to be across the fleets. The average BLG between acft has to be pretty close if the company wants any reductions. And the ability for guys to "make up" the reduction out of open time has to stopped. But you wont find that in the CBA.

Default Sharing of pain??

Who are we kidding here? Sharing of the pain is BS. Those with seniority don't share pain, he11 they just created a whole batch of it.

We all signed up for this job knowing good and well that we'd be done at age 60.

Now all the geezers are smiling ear to ear since they get to sit up front some more. They don't think about who they are affecting...they aren't sharing any pain.

The closest thing to sharing pain is if the geezers fill up the new FDA's at that pitiful pay rate those of you who voted FOR the loa created.

I'd heard about them... hadn't seen one in a while. And I can add carryover to that, and bid LCA lines and get bumped and pick up more trips... is this a great system or what.. how much of that can I get with my juniority?

Well there are, but I'm enjoying 20 days off in Jan with an 86 hr line. Two sides to the coin. And as for the MD11 knucklehead (his words, not mine,) he's obviously in too senior a seat to enjoy his QOL.

I guess I could have played the 72 game years ago... but the QOL was too poor .. and it was domestic... eeek. lol

after 7+ years watchin, it was time to move... besides you can only stomach so much Hawaii/Sydney

Actually Knucklehead wasn't my word.. it was

MEMFO4EVR: "Ever fly with some of these knuckleheads that went to the back seat? We do it all the time."

we were discussing how some of those "knuckleheads" may be Capt's again....
